I’ve had mostly a sedentary life. Six months ago, on January 1st, I wrote down my goals for the year. One of them is to have an active lifestyle and I decided to achieve my goal by taking at least 10,000 steps daily. I started to look for tools that would help me keep track of my progress and keep me motivated...and that’s when I found Pacer. This app is available for both, Android and iOS, platforms. It’s free to download and has some in-app purchases options, that I personally haven’t need. Pacer will keep track of your steps as long as you are carrying your phone and it has battery life (yeah..don’t ask). Under the ‘Goals’ section, it has different challenges to pick from that will help you create new habits. For example, there are the ‘Drink More Water’, ‘No Soda’, ’No Sweets’, ‘Eat More veggies’, and ‘Go to the Gym’ challenges. All you have to do is pick your challenge(s), how many days a week you want to accomplish each goal and tap the check mark the days you meet your target.
