Who I Am and What I Do
A little bit about my journey
Dr. Frances Pierantoni, ND, became interested in a natural approach to healing in 2001 while being the caregiver of a cancer patient. While submerged in the conventional medical system, she had a strong sense that “There must be something else, this cannot be it” and was motivated to find alternative ways of healing. With an innate knowledge that nature provides everything humanity needs, she learned about aromatherapy, herbal remedies and energy healing. As she learned and applied this new knowledge into her daily life and the lives of those around her, Dr. Frances knew she had found what she was seeking – a healing path that supports the body’s process to return to its natural healthy state. A few years later, this search led her to Naturopathic Medicine. In 2013, Dr. Frances graduated from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, ON as Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. In addition, Dr. Frances has completed training in Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy, Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, Naturopathic Doula, and Bowen Therapy. She now practices in Ottawa, ON as a registered Naturopathic Doctor.
Dr. Frances has a special interest in facilitating empowered lifestyle transformation by addressing her patient’s points of resistance and supporting them with easy steps that result in profound and long-lasting changes.
Dr. Frances has been a member in good standing of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario since 2015 and a certified CSEP Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor since June 2018.
Naturopathic medicine is about empowerment. It’s about taking control of your life. It’s about being your best self. It’s about having a better life. It’s about enjoying life like never before. It’s about creating a life worth living. As a Naturopathic Doctor, I am here to facilitate your journey and support your decision to improve your lifestyle.
Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary health care system that blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. The naturopathic philosophy is to stimulate the healing power of the body and treat the underlying cause of disease. Disease is a process within the body. Symptoms of disease are seen as warning signals of improper functioning of the body, and unfavourable lifestyle habits. Investing in your health using naturopathic medicine allows you to use your body’s healing power to transform your life inside out.
Reiki & Energy Healing
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually – creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.
Reiki provides a means for spiritual growth. No matter what your religious background, you'll find that the principles are relevant and don't conflict with your religious practice. In fact, Reiki should enhance your personal religious connection.
